What will your podcast actually cost?

Answer 10 quick questions about your show and get a realistic monthly cost range based on the format, support, and production you need.

Step 1 of 110%
Let’s figure out what your podcast will actually cost.
Every podcast is a little different. A weekly video show needs a different level of production than a biweekly audio show, and a team that wants to hand everything off needs different support than one that wants to stay involved. Answer 10 quick questions and we’ll give you a realistic range, plus the production model that makes the most sense for your show.
2 minutes 10 questions A realistic cost range
Question 1 of 10
Is this a new show, or one you already run?
Where you are starting from changes what you need next.
Launching a new podcast
You have the idea. Now you need to turn it into an actual show.
Growing an existing podcast
Your show is already live. You want better production, more consistency, or a stronger plan for where it goes next.
Question 2 of 10
Audio only, or audio and video?
Adding video means adding another production workflow, not just another camera.
Audio only
Podcast-ready audio for Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and the rest of the usual suspects.
Audio and video
Everything above, plus a YouTube-ready video and short-form clips from the same recording.
Question 3 of 10
How many episodes do you plan to publish each month?
More episodes means more production time. Revolutionary, we know.
1 to 2 episodes a month
Monthly or biweekly.
3 to 4 episodes a month
Roughly weekly.
5 or more episodes a month
Twice a week or more.
Question 4 of 10
How involved do you want to be?
There’s no right answer. This mostly comes down to how much you want on your plate.
Hand it off completely
We handle strategy, production, and growth. You show up and make the podcast.
Stay involved to keep costs lower
You stay closer to the process while we handle the production work.
We do most of the production
You record and direct. We take care of what happens after the recording.
Question 5 of 10
Do you want a dedicated producer running the show?
Someone to keep the schedule moving, coordinate guests, and make sure episodes actually make it out the door.
Yes, I do not want to manage that myself
No, my team can coordinate it
Question 6 of 10
Do you need launch assets built?
Think cover art, trailer, theme music, intro, and outro.
Yes, build these from scratch
I have some, but they need work
No, I already have everything
Question 7 of 10
Do you want ongoing strategy and growth support, or just production?
There’s a difference between making episodes and figuring out what those episodes are supposed to accomplish.
Strategy and growth support
Just production
Question 8 of 10
How will you record?
Remote
Everyone joins from wherever they are.
In-person or studio
Your team records together in the same room.
A mix of both
Question 9 of 10
Do you need hosting, or do you already have one?
I need hosting and analytics
I already have hosting
Question 10 of 10
Anything else on your list?
Pick whatever applies. None of these are required.

Social clips / audiograms

    Why It Matters

There’s more to podcast pricing than a number.

The right cost depends on what you’re making, how often you’re publishing, and how much of the work you actually want off your plate.

A weekly video show and a biweekly audio interview are two very different production jobs. Giving both the same price would not exactly be helpful.

That’s why this calculator looks at the things that actually affect your scope, then recommends the production model that best fits what you need.

Full Service. Hybrid. Self-Service. You’ll see how they compare before you talk to anyone.

    What Moves The Price

Five things that can change your number.

These are the same factors we use to build the estimate above. No mysterious pricing formula hiding behind the curtain.

    01

    Format

Audio is one production workflow. Add video and you’re adding a YouTube-ready cut, short-form clips, video editing, and the work required to keep everything synced.

    02

    Episode volume

A weekly show produces roughly four episodes a month. A biweekly show produces about two. More episodes means more production time.

    03

How hands-on you want to be

This is one of the biggest differences between our models. Full Service puts a producer in the driver’s seat. Self-Service keeps more of the day-to-day work with your team and charges per episode.

    04

    Launch assets

Building your cover art, theme music, trailer, intro, and outro from scratch takes more work than refreshing assets you already have.

    05

    Ongoing strategy

Production gets your episode finished. Strategy helps you figure out what the show should accomplish, who it needs to reach, and what to do next based on what’s actually working.

    FAQ

    Before you start.

A few quick answers about the calculator. If you have questions about your specific show, that’s probably a better conversation with an actual human.

    Talk to a Strategist
How accurate is the cost calculator?

It’s based on the same things that affect the scope of a real podcast project: format, episode volume, production support, launch needs, and ongoing strategy.

The range gives you a realistic starting point based on your answers. It is not a contract or final quote. Recording length, revisions, and custom production needs can affect the final cost, which is why exact pricing is confirmed with a producer.

Why do I have to enter my information before seeing my estimate?

Because we need somewhere to send it. That also gives you the option to have a producer review your answers and provide an exact quote.

We don’t sell your information, and you can opt out of follow-up at any time.

What is the difference between Full Service, Hybrid, and Self-Service?

Full Service is the most hands-off option. You get strategy, a dedicated producer, editing, and growth support while we manage the production process with you.

Self-Service is the most hands-on option. You manage the show and send us your recordings for post-production on a per-episode basis.

Hybrid sits in the middle. You stay more involved than a Full Service client, while we handle production and provide strategic support.

The calculator recommends the model that best matches your answers, and you’ll see the other two options for comparison.

Does the calculator cover video podcasts?

Yes. You’ll tell us whether you want audio only or audio and video. Video production adds a YouTube-ready cut and short-form clips from the same recording session.

What if my show does not fit neatly into one of the three models?

That’s okay. Podcasts are rarely as tidy as a calculator would like them to be.

The recommendation is a starting point, not a box you have to fit into. If your needs fall somewhere between the models, a strategist can work through the details with you and recommend the right setup.

How much does full-service podcast production cost?

Full-service production generally ranges from $2,100 to $6,500 per month, depending on your format, episode volume, video needs, and level of support.

Editing on its own costs less. The right answer depends on what you actually need, which is exactly what the calculator is designed to help you figure out.

Is the calculator result the same as an exact quote?

No. It’s a realistic range based on the information you provide.

An exact quote accounts for the specifics of your show, including things like recording length, revisions, and custom production needs. If you want the exact number, the next step is a short call with a producer.

Does the price include everything, or are there extras?

The estimate covers the core scope of the production model recommended for you.

Some things, such as in-person production travel, rush turnaround, or custom add-ons, may be priced separately if they apply to your show. We’ll talk through those before you commit to anything.
