For independent advisors and RIAs

Financial advisor podcast production for practices that grow on trust and referrals

People choose an advisor they feel they already know. A show lets them hear how you think about a family’s money before they ever book a meeting.

We record, edit, and publish for small advisory teams. Your compliance team or broker-dealer reviews each episode first, and the calendar is built around them. Banks, fintechs, and larger firms will find their fit on our financial services podcast production page.

Why a show suits advice

Why would an independent advisor start a podcast?

A man in a flat cap talking into a desk mic

Much of a small practice’s growth comes from people who already trust you. A podcast gives each referral something to hear before they pick up the phone.

It also gives you room to explain yourself. A bio page lists credentials. Twenty minutes of you working through a real question shows how you’d treat their family.

  • Prospects hear your approach before the first meeting.
  • Current clients get the topics that never fit into a review meeting.
  • CPAs and estate attorneys who send you clients have an episode to pass along.
What to talk about

What can an advisor podcast cover without talking returns?

Timely market topics take longer to clear, and they age fast. Planning questions stay useful for years. So we’d build your show around those and leave performance talk out.

01

The questions clients keep asking

Required distributions, a surprise inheritance, or how to start a money talk with aging parents. One question per episode keeps each one short and easy to review.

02

Conversations with referral partners

Sit down with a CPA or estate attorney you already work with. You send the invite, since we don’t book guests. On a management plan, a producer preps each guest and drafts questions.

03

Meet the people at the firm

Let each advisor, planner, or client service lead take a turn. Prospects get to know the person they’d actually call.

04

A feed for your own staff

Staff training and firm news can live on an invite-only feed. That’s what our private podcast hosting is for.

Compliance review

How does compliance review fit into the schedule?

Someone at your firm, or at your broker-dealer, approves each episode before it airs. We plan around that person from the very first call.

What we set up

  • We ask who reviews episodes, how many business days they need, and what they’d like to see.
  • Their review window goes into the release calendar before anyone records.
  • Reviewers listen in our app and leave notes at exact timestamps.
  • Clips, show notes, and social cards wait for episode approval, then go to your reviewer too.

What your firm keeps

  • Deciding what can be said and which disclosures each episode carries.
  • Checking each episode under the rules you’re held to. FINRA Rule 2210 and the SEC Marketing Rule are common examples.
  • Final approval, plus your own recordkeeping.

We don’t give compliance or legal advice, and we won’t guess at it. If an edit would change wording your reviewer already approved, we’ll send it back to them first.

Rules named as examples only: FINRA Rule 2210 (finra.org) and SEC Rule 206(4)-1 under the Advisers Act, the Marketing Rule.
From recording to release

Where does an episode go once the mic is off?

Here’s the path a typical advisor episode takes. Your reviewer’s time is built in from the start.

Step What happens Who does it
Record You and any guest record remotely, or you send files you recorded yourself. You
Edit Our engineers clean up and master the audio by ear. The edit is usually back in your inbox in 3 to 5 business days, based on your plan. Resonate
Review Your reviewer listens in the app and leaves timestamped notes. Your compliance team or broker-dealer
Revise We make the fixes. Plus plans include one revision round, and Pro plans include three. Resonate
Approve Your approver signs off in the app. That starts any show notes or clips you ordered. Your firm
Publish With posting added, we put the approved episode live on the date and time you choose. Resonate
Basic edits are final on delivery, with no revision round. If your reviewers usually send notes, a plan with revisions will suit you better. Every step and timing is laid out on how things work.
Your time

How much does a small team need to give?

Less than you’d think. You bring the voice and the approvals. We’ll carry the rest.

Your side

  • A host who likes talking with clients.
  • A short list of questions clients keep asking.
  • A reviewer who knows the release dates.
  • Time to record, usually from your own office.

Our side

  • Editing, mixing, and mastering.
  • Reminders, file handling, and the release calendar.
  • Clips and show notes once an episode is approved.
  • Posting, if you add it to your plan.
Services

Which parts of the show can we take off your plate?

Use one service or all of them. You can start with editing alone and add more as the show settles in.

Launch

Planning, a show title, artwork, a trailer, and listings on the big listening apps. A launch tends to run 8 to 12 weeks, with review time mapped in.

Audio editing

Engineers edit by ear, so the pause before a careful qualifier stays where it was. That matters once your reviewer has approved the exact words.

Management

On a management plan, a producer runs scheduling, guest prep, and the release calendar. Client meetings can fill your week and the show still moves.

Video

A full video version plus short clips, held back until your reviewer clears them.

Marketing

Show notes, transcripts, social cards, and audiograms (short clips with a moving waveform) made from each approved episode.

An honest fit check

Is a podcast right for your practice?

It’s a slow channel. You’ll want a full first season before judging it. If you need new clients by next month, other channels will move faster.

It also helps if someone at the firm enjoys talking. If nobody wants the mic, another kind of content may suit you better. Our podcast readiness assessment takes a few minutes.

Wondering about budget? It moves with how often you release and how much you hand off. The podcast cost calculator shows a ballpark in a minute or two. A call turns that into a quote for your firm.

Advisor podcast FAQ

What advisors ask before their first season

Can a financial advisor run a podcast under compliance rules?

Yes, as long as review is planned in from the start. Your compliance team decides what fits your firm. We set recording and release dates around their timing.

Who reviews episodes if we’re affiliated with a broker-dealer?

That’s a question for your broker-dealer and your own compliance lead. Once they tell us who signs off and how long it takes, we’ll set the calendar to match.

Can we talk about investments or performance on the show?

That’s your reviewer’s call, and we won’t make it for you. We’d suggest building the show around planning questions. They stay useful longer, and timely market topics usually take longer to clear.

Do you book guests for advisor podcasts?

No. You invite guests, such as a CPA or estate attorney you already work with. On a management plan, a producer preps each guest and drafts questions you can change.

When could our advisor show be live?

Expect 8 to 12 weeks between the kickoff call and episode one. Your reviewer’s days sit inside that range. The first planning call maps out each step, including your reviewer’s window.

Why not use an AI editing tool to save money?

It’s fine for a rough cut. Software tends to trim pauses, though, and a qualifier after a pause can vanish with them. A person on our team listens to every cut. Here’s how our editing and post-production works.

Ready to plan your practice’s first season?

Bring a rough idea of who you’d like listening and how review works at your firm. We’ll tell you honestly if a show fits, and sketch a first season if it does.

Feel free to bring whoever approves your marketing.
